Scott Ungermann is a Senior Advisor, Technical Services at First Key. Scott uses his extensive brewing and distilling leadership experience to help clients develop new and innovative products, optimize operations and implement new processes throughout their organizations.
Prior to joining First Key, Scott was Brewmaster and VP of Production and Logistics with Anchor Brewing in San Francisco, as well as VP of Operations for Bespoken Spirits. Earlier in his career, he held a variety of Brewmaster and Assistant Brewmaster roles with Anheuser-Busch, including Brewmaster at the Fairfield plant and Staff Brewmaster, Corporate Brewing Raw Materials in St. Louis. Scott possesses deep knowledge of brewing and distilling processes, supply chain and financial management and has demonstrated excellence in managing integration, change, growth, and expansion for breweries and distilleries.
He earned both his Master of Science, Food Science and Master Brewer's Certificate from the University of California, Davis where he was also a board member for the Robert Mondavi Institute for Wine and Food Science, as well as a teaching assistant and guest lecturer. He is a member of the Master Brewers Association of the Americas and an Associate Member of the Institute of Brewing & Distilling. Scott is a published writer, has been featured in the popular press, and in his spare time volunteers with numerous organizations in the Fairfield and Davis communities in Central California.
