Scott Durnin
Senior Advisor, Engineering Services

Scott Durnin is a solutions-focused leader with an engineering background and many years of experience in a number of brewery production and leadership roles. At First Key, Scott works with clients to lead operational projects with focus on capacity analysis and growth and improving operational financial performance. He is a leader in brewing process, technology and equipment and has led many brewing-focused capital and utilities savings projects.

During his tenure at Labatt and AB InBev, Scott held leadership roles in brewing, engineering and utilities supporting multiple brewery sites. With a Six-Sigma Black Belt, Scott’s areas of expertise include: operating budget builds, performance management, utilities optimization and continuous improvement. He led multiple strategic projects including: installing distillation equipment to pilot a new global dealcoholized beer and installation of a new mixing system and packaging equipment to produce vodka-based coolers. He was also responsible for the quality and sensory programs of beer and spirit-based alcohol production.

Scott has an engineering degree from Western University and went on to receive an honours degree in business administration from the Ivey Business School. He also received his diploma of brewing from the Institute of Brewing & Distilling in the United Kingdom.
