Floris Delée is a Senior Advisor, Technical Services at First Key. Floris works with clients in the areas of new breweries and expansions, operations, engineering, product innovation and quality and process optimization projects.

Prior to joining First Key, Floris ran his own company, Kathinka Engineering, where he worked with breweries in the Caribbean, North and Central America, and Europe. Notable projects included building the Avery brewery in Colorado; building the second New Belgium brewery in North Carolina; the Russian River brewery in California; Karbach Brewery in Texas as well as projects in Panama, Honduras, and Chile. Earlier in his career, Floris served as the Technical Director of New Belgium Brewery and was responsible for the design and development of Brewery Master Plans in Fort Collins and execution of first phases of the brewery expansion. Prior to that, Floris was the Technical Director responsible for the design and construction of the new brewery for the Belize Brewing Company and before that he was a Brewing Engineer for the Anton Steinecker Maschinenfabrik, GmbH where he led new brew house projects across the Americas. Floris started his career in brewing as an intern at the Alken Maes Breweries in Waarloos, Belgium where he studied to become a Brewmaster and Brewing Engineer.

Floris received his degree in Industrial Engineering from Katholieke Industriele Hogeschool in Belgium. He is an adjunct professor, teaching Brewing Science and Technology, at Colorado State University's Fermentation Science and Technology Program. Floris speaks English, German, Spanish and Flemish. He lives with his wife and their children in Fort Collins, Colorado.
